On February 26, 2009, enCompassing
Visions is pleased to be hosting a
reception at the Metropolitan Centre in
Calgary. The guest speaker will be Ferio
Pugliese, Executive Vice-President,
People at WestJet. Ferio is a 2008
recipient of the Caldwell Partners Top
40 Under 40, and WestJet has recently
been named one of Albertas Top 40
Employers. Ferio has used enCompassing
Visions to bring his vision of
Integrated Talent Management to
organizations throughout his career -
including now at WestJet and will
share his insights and approach. We look

Version 9.0
The latest and greatest is coming in
March - version 9.0! We have a
whole new version number for a whole
new way of looking at enCompassing
Visions. Weve updated our login
screen and simplified our main menu.
There are new screens and new
reports as well. All of these
changes were made to make it as easy
as possible for you to find what you
are looking for and as efficient as
possible to get the job done. And
this is just the start! Well be
doing much more in 2009 to wow you
all over again in Spring 2010.

Weve just finished our performance review process using the
Competency review. It went really well, but wed like to
evaluate employees on how they complete their goals, not
just on their behaviours. What do you recommend? |

A:
The Competency review is a great way
to evaluate how an employee does his job. In order
to review what he accomplishes, you should use Work Plans
along with the Competency review. Work Plans can be set for
each employee and can be connected to goals for his
department, as well as linking to organizational goals. The
Work Plan review can include business objectives as well as
professional development objectives for the year. For more
