Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are you an HRIS? I already have an HRIS, why do I need you? What makes you different?
A: No, we are not an HRIS. We complement your HRIS with tools to perform job evaluation, strategic planning and performance reviews. We analyze this data to provide organizational performance information and succession planning functions.

Q: Do you integrate with my HRIS?
A: We have tools in place to keep the information common to both your HRIS and your enCompassing Visions system synchronized. We can import information or, if you are using any standard relational database for your HRIS information, we can use the Integration Services features of SQL to keep your databases synchronized.

Q: Are you Pay Equity compliant?
A: Yes. The JPS Job Questionnaire© and our job evaluation processes produce job descriptions that are Pay Equity compliant.

Q: Is your system easy to operate?
A: Yes, our system is easy to operate. It is a windows-based application with an intuitive interface, on-line help and on-screen tips to assist the user.

Q: How much training do I need in order to use enCompassing Visions?
A: Our comprehensive three-day training course helps HR professionals integrate the system with their current HR practices, as well as providing them with a better understanding of what the system can do for them. This course trains enCompassing Visions Administrators on how to customize the software to fit their organization, and how to use the software on a day to day basis.
